I came across your website by accident. I do not know your family but I have to say, I have never felt so drawn to a family like this in a long time. I sat at my computer desk reading every word that you wrote, allowing my eyes to drop heavy rain onto my sleeves while I sobbed to my husband. Your faith has grown my own personal faith with God. It has shown me a different side to the intense, passionate love that God has for us. He feels our pain and lifts us up in it. Thank you for sharing your story. I feel that HE has an ultimate plan and purpose for your life and what a beautiful gift to be able to share it with the world. You truly have a gift of sharing your heart. God bless you tremendously!

Just came across your website as a result of your sister posting it on our friends' site who just lost their baby (she had Trisomy 18 as well) last week. I cried at your openness, your beautiful words of love and, and especially your steadfast trust in a sovereign God whose ways are not always easy to understand and follow. May God bless your family richly for this beautiful testimony!
With love in Christ,

24 Sep 2006

I heard of this site through your sister who left a message on my friend's website, dedicated to their baby whom they lost to Trisomy 18.
Your story and your courage made me cry. It is so wonderful though that in Christ we know there are no good-byes!
Sooner than we think we will be re-united with all our loved ones that we've lost. You'll be with your daughter, I'll be with my two siblings I never met, and my friend will be with her baby sister again.
God bless you and keep you.
In Christ,

i sat and read and cried. i'd heard your story while it happened - i have a bulletin board by my back door with pictures, names, people to pray for - and you've been on there for months. even after little kelly went i thought you would still need someone praying for you. Thank you for letting your heart be broken, for being honest and vulnerable in a world that prizes teflon plastic emotionless sound bites. I admire your family so much for standing firm for what was best for your little baby and for letting the master potter mold you, even though it was (and still is, i'm sure) hard to stay pliable. May God continue to bless you and encourage you, to use you and to give you light, laughter, His joy and peace that pass understanding..

Dear Bernard and Becky,
Kelly was so beautiful in the pictures. SHe looked so peaceful and content. I read over the whole websit etwic eot make sure i didnt miss a single detail about her short but lovefilled life. The day my mom told me she was born I prayed for her hoping that she would pull through and that i would get to see her small face and hold her tiny hand in mine. I love you all. Try to be strong in this hard time, and remember that even though his actions might not always be clear, God does everything for the best.

Was very touched with your story of Baby Kelly. We do not know you personally, but do know your mother& grandparents on your mother's side.
Since reading your story, I was lead to encourage you with Is. 41:10
"Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My
Righteous right hand."

Every day is a gift.

Hola Becky
Is me Zully, I am so proud of you, I have seeing you growing since I meet you, your strong faith, and loyalty to your King " Jesus " I was encoraged by your journay of faith.

I learn from the las 5 month, to cry, to laught and to make each day as it is the last.
One day afther my son Jonathan was born Feb 17th, my mother in law was in the hospital in so much pain, few week later we have a unexpecting news that she only has 3 to 6 months of life.

Th last 2 months we were so stress out, cry out to God for a miracle, searching from the Bible and so much prayers, Please Lord make a miracle, but yet our reality was different.

I was having some babyblues, and crying was my only wapon in my hands,I feel better every time I did. As I hold Jonathan I ask the Holy Spirit to ministry my spirit.
Zully it is okey to die and cry.
Jesus did!

When we die in not truly the end, and it is just the beging of the hope for a better life that we have in Christ.
We make 3 trip to Kelowna in less of a month just to be with mom. God bless my with a opportunity
feed her, take her to the bathroom, hug her and cry till we don`t have more strengt.

I was calling her Noemi(Spanish)Ruth mother in law.
I was telling the story of Ruth and she request to me, Please Paray for me, I want to go home!
I ask her this is the hardest request, I will pray that the Holy Spirit will make this pray for the both of us, as the Bible said, The holy Spirit help ua in our weakness, How shall we pray?
Finaly our heart was fill with his peace.
Its okey to die, its okey to Cry!

July 17 my Jonathan turn 5 months old, mom peacefully she went home, she was trying to said something, them Arnie ask what you need mom?
he came near to her and she softly was saing " I love you" He understood that mom was ready to go and saing goodby to him.

He pray " God please forgive my mom for her sins " In that exact moment she give up her spirit.

The reality of heaven is death! now we try to explain to David what` heaven mean and why Grandmom in not in B.C. any more.

Life is diferent, every day is a gift.
Lord Teach me how to die!
Bless are those who mourn!
Jesus understand!

I am praying for you

Hi Bernard and Becky,

I've been thinking of you a lot and praying that God will continue to give you the comfort of His Spirit.

What a blessing to have been able to love her for the time God gave her with you. What a comfort to know she is laughing and playing and running and singing in her eternal home. What a hope to know that you will be able to join her there in God's time.

You'll continue to be in my prayers.

Yours in His family,

Bernard, Becky and Hailey

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

There is a time for everything.
There's a time for everything that is done on earth.

There is a time to be born.
And there's a time to die.
There is a time to plant.
And there's a time to pull up what is planted.
There is a time to kill.
And there's a time to heal.
There is a time to tear down.
And there's a time to build up.
There is a time to cry.
And there's a time to laugh.
There is a time to be sad.
And there's a time to dance.
There is a time to scatter stones.
And there's a time to gather them.
There is a time to hug.
And there's a time not to hug.
There is a time to search.
And there's a time to stop searching.
There is a time to keep.
And there's a time to throw away.
There is a time to tear.
And there's a time to mend.
There is a time to be silent.
And there's a time to speak.
There is a time to love.
And there's a time to hate.
There is a time for war.
And there's a time for peace.

All my love and prayers,
Yours sister,

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows." 2 Cor. 1:3-5

Dearest Becky, Bernard, and Hailey,
I've just attended the funeral for Kelly, and have once again seen the strength and deepest of love that you have, first for our precious Lord, and then radiating to all you meet. I've also read Kelly's story and marvel at the depth of your love, strenghth, and vulnerability, before our gracious Lord. You ARE being mightily used of Him, even in the midst of great grief, and I'm so convinced He has amazing, incredible, steps of life for you ahead, shining for Him. Continue to allow His deep comfort as He holds YOU, now in the palm of His hand. with great love in Jesus

Kelly was loved so much by family and friends, but God loved you first. Thank-you God for this family you have placed me in, and for all the blessings you have given us. Thy Will Be Done
Granny & Granddad Thomas
04 Aug 2005

“Surely God could not entrust you with any greater gift and responsibility than to put a new little life into your hands.”

Thy Will be Done – Edgar Guest

“I’ll lend you for a little time, O child of Mine,” he said
“For you to love the while she lives and mourn for when she’s dead.
It may be six or seven years or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for Me?

She’ll bring her charms to gladden you and should her stay be brief,
You’ll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.

I’ve looked this wide world over in my search for teachers true,
And from the crowds that throng life’s lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give her all your love, nor think the labor vain
Nor hate Me when I come to call to take her back again?

I fancied that I heard them say, “Dear Lord, Thy will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run.
We’ll shelter her with tenderness; we’ll love her while we may
And for the happiness we’ve known, forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for her much sooner than we’ve planned
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand”
This comes with much love and prayer.

We've been thinking about you so much today and wanted to let you know that we love you guys. We feel a unique connection with you and Hailey as you grieve the loss of Kelly. We have been torn(as we were with Eden)between missing Kelly and not being able to meet her and knowing she's now completely healed. We look forward so much to seeing her in Heaven one day soon- as we are Eden.
We wanted to share some verses with you that we found very meaningful the morning of our son's funeral."Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and recieve you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going...Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled nor let it be fearful." John 14:1-4;27
A special passage for Lana in losing Eden was
1 Peter 1:3-9. Please read it and find comfort.
We're praying for you. We are here for you when you need to talk or ask questions. God will continue to give you all you need for every step. We know that is for certain. See you soon. Love, Luc & Lana

Dear Bernard and Becky, as you know, we just returned from Lebanon yesterday, after rejoicing with Sarah and Georges at their wedding. Lebanon is an ancient land, with many biblical connections. And in that land, we saw many churches, mosques, monasteries, shrines, and other places of faith. They are testiments to the power of faith and prayer. We add our prayers to those of yourselves, your friends and family members, as you journey with baby Kelly during her time on this earth. Love, Art and Mary.

26 Jul 2005

Dearest Ones, May the peace of the Lord continue to illuminate each step of your path. Your love for Him and for Kelly, the gift He has given, is an encouragement to all who know you. The beautiful way you have responded to her birth and life will have a huge impact on your whole life, will deepen and expand your soul in a manner nothing else could have brought about. We do not chose these ways. But the giver of all good gifts knows what we need and gives accordingly. May He continue to hold you all in the palm of His hand. I just realized that is a Truth you can now visualize so much easier after havng held dear little Kelly in the palm of your hand . . . Love to you, Scott, Sondra, Bethany, Abigail, Sara and Lydia
